Outplanting… check!!

January 4th, 2022 - Captains Log, picture-perfect day on Narragansett Bay, cold and crisp with the gentlest of breeze. Along side my steady and true husband, we out-planted our 8 spools of baby kelp!

A huge thanks to GreenWave for my little babies. Also to Suzie Flores, Stonington Kelp Co. for her fearless vision for The Sugar Kelp Cooperative and for her advice and support! Also, huge thanks to John Wescott, East Passage Aquaculture, for making my farm possible.

Send some positive vibes to the sea, directed towards the east passage of Narragansett Bay, as my little sugar kelp seedlings gather the light and nutrients they need to grow strong!
